The best way to connect to a 5G network is by using the mobile network cards, also known as Wi-Fi adapters or Wi-Fi cards. You should know how to set up your network to work on this type of network in order to enjoy a smooth wireless connection.
How To Set Network
For setting up a network on this type of network, you will need a computer, internet connection, USB cable and a suitable driver for the hardware that you are using.
Before you can connect anything to the network, you should turn off the network connection that you have.
Next, plug in the USB Ethernet adapter into one of the ports on the back of your computer. Most computers that are compatible with this type of connection have one port labeled with USB Ethernet connection. Now connect your other computer or laptop into the other port on your primary machine.
Once the device is powered on, you will see a configuration manager window appears. In this window, you will need to click on the “Network” tab. If your adapter has more than one port, you will see a configuration manager window for each port.
Only Select The Port That Corresponds To The Device
It is important that you select the port that corresponds to the device that you want to connect to. When you have finished configuring your network, you should click the “Open” button in order to expose the adapter to the network.
You will need to look for the SSID in order to get the name of the network that you want to connect to. This is very important especially if you are not sure what the SSID is.
After you have discovered the SSID, you can enter the WEP key. The WEP key enables your computer to establish a secure connection with the wireless network. It is very similar to the SSID but only the private network is revealed to the outside world.
Keep in mind that you need to create a different configuration for each connection such as wireless printer or wireless mouse. The key can be found under “Networks” in the left panel of your system. If you have difficulties locating it, you can use the “Network Adapter” in “My Computer” to locate it.
If your computer does not recognize the SSID or the WEP key, then the card does not have an enabled mode. It is also possible for the card to remain in the factory default state but it is also possible for the card to receive a firmware upgrade to enable it to connect to the wireless network.
The upgrade will automatically enable your router to connect to the wireless network. You can also do the same thing by resetting the modem if it did not receive a firmware update.
Once you are done configuring the network adapter, you can then connect it to the network. It is advisable to test the connection to ensure that you have a signal quality. If there are any problems, try changing the configuration and do the test again. Also, try to determine why there are problems. If it is because of the hardware failure, then get the assistance from the IT support company.
