GHz and MHz are the units that measure the speed of CPU. They are known as the heartbeat of the computer system. Although they both are known as the heartbeat of CPU, there is some difference between the two. That is:

MHz stands for Megahertz. Wherein, Mega means one million and hertz is the SI unit of measuring the speed of the system. Mainly, MHz measures the rate of CPU processing and data analysis.

Moreover, it also helps for measuring physical vibrations of applications like robots, internal clocks, etc. Thus, there are several units used to measure the wave of applications. Later all are converted into MHz and referred to as clock speed of the computing area.
